The INITIAL STATE determines if the selected Channel is ON or OFF when the Preset
is called up.
MIDI CHANNEL sets the MIDI Channel for the selected Preset Multi-Pedal Channel.
MIDI CC# sets the Continuous Controller message number for the selected Preset
Multi-Pedal Channel. If the Multi-Pedal Channel is set to OFF, CC messages are not
sent.
CHANNEL MODE sets the operating mode for the selected Channel. The choice of
operating mode determines the available options that follow. See the Edit Menus on
following pages for the Channel Mode options.
BANK CHANGE sets the Bank Change message that is sent when a Preset is selected.
PGM CHANGE sets the Program Change message that is sent when a Preset is
selected.
CHANNEL NAME allows you to specify a name for the selected channel. To enter or
change a name, press the Encoder pushswitch to move to the lower line of the display,
and use the VALUE knob to select the desired character. Pressing the ENTER button
will advance the cursor to the next character. Continue in this manner until the desired
name is complete, then press the VALUE encoder switch to move back to the top line of
the display. With the cursor back on the top line of the display, rotate the VALUE knob
to see more menus, or press EDIT to escape.
Preset names consist of any combination of 8 letters, punctuation characters and
numbers. In order, the available characters are:
NOTE: The MP-201 Multi-Pedal is capable of sending large amounts of MIDI data
on up to 4 MIDI channels simultaneously. This is especially true when LFO modes
are selected. Some MIDI equipment and software may not be robust enough to
handle this large amount of data. Moog Music makes no guarantees of the ability
of products made by other vendors to handle this amount of MIDI data.
